December Booms

 Hi hi~

I really can't believe it's the middle of December already... It's kind of terrifying actually  I think it would feel more like December if we actually got some snow!

It's been so long since I made a boom post. I have a few things I'm really into this December, so I thought I would share them with you!

Boom #1: Patterns- Tweed, Houndstooth, Check and Tartans/Plaids

In my himekaji inspo post all the way back in October, I wrote about how much I was loving houndstooth. Well, that hasn't changed, and I've also become super obsessed with tweed, especially in pink!

Rady
Cecil McBee

Emiria Wiz

Liz Lisa

Ank Rouge

I've also been really into check patterns and tried super hard to get my hands on this Liz Lisa skort from one of the fukubukuros... I tried to buy it 3 separate times but the sellers kept canceling on me

I managed to get my hands on this one though!

Finally, red plaid is so perfect for the Christmas season! I usually don't wear red much at all but this is the perfect time for it~

I think I'll incorporate a plaid skirt into one of my Christmas looks~

Boom #2: Shearling/Teddy

Winter is the time of everything fuzzy! I love soft and fuzzy things, especially in pink and white

One of my favorite things is fuzzy detailing or trims, especially on skirts. I feel like it really makes you stand out as a gal

Shearling coats are so cute too!

Boom #3: Kuma motif

Keeping in line with the Christmas theme, there have been so many cute bear designs around lately! I've never been huge into teddies, I usually go for dogs or cats (or hamsters )

But this year I've really fallen in love with the super sweet bear motifs!

I asked for this Maison de Fleur tote for Christmas~
I can't remember where these sneakers are from but I think it's a western brand

This Liz Lisa sweater is too sweet

Boom #4: Skincare

This one is something I should have been doing, but wasn't... I had a few skincare products that were over a year old, and it was so bad on my face

I was investing so much into my clothing, hair and makeup that I neglected my skincare! I was super into K-beauty back when it started becoming popular in the US, but lately I haven't been treating my skin well.

I think I'll do a separate post about my skincare routine and holy grails, but the best brand that I've ever used so far is Hada Labo  My skin is naturally very dry so I need all the help I can get...

That's everything I have for today! What are your booms this December/winter/holiday season? Please let me know in the comments
Talk again real soon!

Last Shein Haul... Ever??

 Hi Everyone~

I recently did a small Shein order on Black Friday, mainly to get a dress I'd been eyeing up for a while, a friend's Christmas present (which didn't even arrive in time for me to see her w), and tights from the Hello Kitty collaboration. There were so many cute items from that collection that I wanted!

I decided to get some accessories from my wishlist as well! Because I was ordering on Black Friday, I got to choose a free gift. I went with the mirror because it seemed useful~

I forgot to take a picture but it's not cute, I'm wondering if I should deco it...

I got two pairs of tights, the second pair is black OTKs that I've been needing since my old pair ripped!

I also got this absolutely adorable accessory haul!  They're all so pink and sweet

Finally, here is the dress that I've been eyeing up forever - the floral pattern totally reminds me of a Ma*rs print or even one of JD's darker dresses. I also got this fuzzy heart leopard print tote bag!
(sorry about the poor lighting)

Now on to the disappointments...

This cute usamimi pearl headband came snapped in two places, but I'm hoping I can possibly fix it with some glue.

And one of the pearls was missing from this cute pair of earrings
I might be able to fix it if I can find a bead that's the right size...

Anyway, I think this will be my last Shein order for a long while, if not forever.

It's not because of the broken items - I literally spent $2.50 on these two items combined, and while I was looking forward to them, I understand things happen especially when the postal service is totally overloaded with Christmas parcels.

The reason behind my decision is that I'm trying to be more mindful with how I spend my money in the coming year!

I'm going to write a full blog post dedicated to it, but I want to spend less, and want to focus on leveling up my wardrobe if I do buy things. With Shein, it is way too easy for me to spend a lot of money buying a bunch of things for cheap because I looove deals. At this point my wardrobe is about to hit its maximum capacity

Also, as you saw, sometimes things come defective or items don't look as good on me as they did in the model images. I'd rather try things on and make calculated purchases that I'm sure I'll love!

However, this doesn't mean I don't recommend Shein. When I first started getting back into gyaru this year, I got a ton of pieces that I still love and wear! It's a great place to find unique items, tons of which work for gals of all styles

I also might still share Shein finds here on my blog, because I really do enjoy that kind of post.

There is one last thing I want to buy from Shein, though... I got a sponsored ad for this absolutely stunning purse

That's all for this time! Thanks so much for reading and I'll talk again real soon

Tekko Trip & ChuuMelo Meet

 Hi hi~

I just got back from a weekend trip and it was so exciting!

I got to meet up with Rae and have my first ever in-person gal meet!

I spent all morning and afternoon Friday traveling...

Kuma charm from SweetHeartYun!

I decided to wear himekaji and did my makeup in the train station while waiting for my connection. It turned out super cute, especially considering I was balancing my mirror on my lap as I tried to do it w

My look that day really reminded me of Mizukitty!

Well, it turned out to be a huge mistake... We stayed out pretty late on Friday after I arrived and in the end I ended up wearing my lenses for a total of 16 hours

we played at the game center until it closed

When I woke up on Saturday morning, my right eye was hurting SO badly and was blood red (but not my left one for some reason)... Despite the pain I quickly put my lenses in to take a few pics of my kogal look~ I finally got to do it after planning it almost half a year ago and I'm so happy with how it turned out

You can kinda see how my right eye is red here

Then I went to meet Rae!!

It was so exciting!!! We exchanged a few gifts and then headed to browse the goods they had for sale~ We got some sweet comments about our outfits and someone asked if we matched color schemes on purpose

We got lunch and then went to the j-fashion swap meet, where I was able to sell quite a bit of my old clothing including my old lolita skirts. I was sad to part with them but honestly, they'd just been gathering dust in a box in my closet, so I'm glad they could go to a good home. I also picked up a lovely pair of earrings! Then we headed back to do some more shopping and drink boba

After that we went to play some games and we accomplished our goal of doing Para para! It was both our first times doing that song

We decided to split up there for the evening because we were getting kind of tired... I ate a late dinner and drank a little with my college friends, but then I totally crashed and couldn't even pull the blanket over myself...

The next day, I went with a hime look

I love wearing this style and I wish I had the time/opportunity to do it more often! Rae was wearing fairy kei that day

After meeting up, we went to a flea market and we found matching My Melo and Cinna ears! It was the cutest thing ever, especially because they matched our outfit theme colors

Best impulse purchase ever!

We went back to do some last-minute shopping and pick up the things we'd wanted but passed up the day before. And I'm kicking myself because I didn't buy the heart belt I'd been eyeing up the whole time! OTL

Finally, it was time for me to catch the train back home...

It went by too quickly but we promised to meet up again soon
I'm already looking forward to that day!

This weekend was SO much fun, I came away with a huge confidence and enthusiasm boost and after getting to go all out with my looks and getting to finally meet a gal friend in person!

It's funny that Rae was one of the very first people to talk to me when I made my gal account... We bonded over Tamagotchiand it turned out we lived decently close to one another!

That's all I have for this time, but I need to catch up on blogs so I guess the rest of this month will be blogmas

Thank you for reading! I'll talk again real soon, and I'll share what I got at Tekko in another post~
